Dr. Chris Tveter

Dr. Christopher Tveter joined Harvard Foot & Ankle in 2020.  Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dr. Tveter received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry – with Distinction from the University of Minnesota.  From there, he went on to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Following completion of medical school, he pursued his surgical training at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts, finishing a residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery and earning Chief Resident status in his final year.

Shortly after residency, Dr. Tveter joined Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.  He was an Instructor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and was an integral teaching physician of the residency program at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center over the next 4 years.  During his time there, he was also a member of the BIDMC Academy of Medical Educators.

Dr. Tveter has been active academically throughout his education and professional career. He has contributed to podiatric literature in the form of publications, peer-reviewed journals, and book chapters.  He has also been invited to speak both regionally and internationally on disorders of the foot and ankle, particularly regarding diabetic limb salvage.  He is proud to have volunteered his time for Hands Across the World, a medical mission trip dedicated to providing free medical and surgical care to developing countries, in 2016.

When he is not seeing patients, Dr. Tveter enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters.  He and his family enjoy traveling, sports, cooking, and outdoor activities.

Dr. Kenneth Sabicinski

Dr. Kenneth Sabacinski is the founding member of Harvard Foot & Ankle.  Originally from Worcester, Massachusetts, Dr. Sabacinski received his Bachelor of Arts degree and Master of Heath Science from Quinnipiac University.  He went on to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  He pursued his surgical training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston, Massachusetts, achieving Clinical Fellow in Surgery from Harvard Medical School.  During his residency, he was specifically trained in the treatment of acute and chronic diabetic foot ulcers.

After residency, Dr. Sabacinski founded Harvard Foot & Ankle in 1990, as well as the South Florida Wound Healing Center in Hollywood, Florida.  He is board certified and his extensive career as a foot and ankle surgeon over 30 years has seen him accomplish numerous academic and professional achievements.  

He is currently the Chief Medical Officer for SanMelix Laboratories Inc., a bioactive skin and wound care company using the natural healing properties of Buckwheat honey, creating products that aid in the healing of acute, chronic, and minor wounds.

When not treating patients, Dr. Sabacinski enjoys spending time with his family, sports/exercise, and outdoor activities.
